I just got a ball from a friend to try out. It's says:
Zone Pro Active, and has a Z with Pro through the middle of it on the side of the ball, it's 16#, and it's navy blue with yellow writing. I can't find any reviews on this particular ball and wanted some info on it. If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it. I think he got this from some special league as a free-bie, but I can find any info. thanks.

From what you describe, you have a Brunswick Zone Pro Azure in your hands. This is one of the first-generation particle technology balls that were released into the market in the late 90s.

The particle load on this ball is extremely high, and the core of this ball is quite strong. It creates a lot of early roll and early hook. I had one that was drilled drilled weak and it still hooked off of the lane, even on oil.

That's all I remember from it though.

Its an excellent ball, I still have mine. It is definately a ball made to use on oil. As Jeremy said, it is a higher load particle with a strong core so this ball will grip and move in oil. Drill according to what you play on and how you wanna play the lane. I have 400+ games on mine and it still works like new. However, you must maintain this coverstock faithfully. Clean after every league session with a good ball cleaner or something along the lines of 409 or Simple Green/Water solution. Every couple of weeks get a good deep cleaning with a stronger ball cleaner and then resurface every 75-100 games. Just be careful, one of the problems with this ball was that the core/coverstock used to separate when they first released them. Make sure you check it every now and then.
