NICE!

My proshop's Haus Machine has been down for about a year now, just got the parts in 3 weeks ago, but they all went to the nats and have been swamped with work since, so they haven't got it put back together yet.

Keep it clean.

Yeah I clean it every day before I close, and oil it first thing in the morning.

Very nice!  If this is your first time with one in the shop you will soon wonder how you made due without one..I like to think of mine as another employee!  You are smart to clean it and oil it every day..if you follow that routine you will be set...it's when shops negelct them and dont' stay up on them that problems can start.  Congrats!

How do you like it?

My shop has one (I think it's the Haus) but said he doesn't like to use it.  Said something about causing flat spots on the ball and it being quicker to resurface on the spinner.

So far so good!

If he is getting flat spots, then he needs to "motivate" the ball and its oscillation from time to time. Especially in a plugged ball...

nick you've already found out how great these are. resurfacing a ball is now the easiest thing to do----especially when you can walk away from it. it's practically idiot proof.

Had a rejuvinator, actually sold it about 2-3 years ago. Took up a lot of space on our plug work area. Might get another someday...

Lane1,

That is the newer model of the Haus machine.  We have one too in our shop.  They made some very quality upgrades to the first model.  It runs smoother, stays cleaner, and truthfully does a better overall job.

Isn't the point of the machine to put the ball in and walk away?

He just mentioned that in his opinion is was quicker and easier to just use the spinner.  It seemed that he thought the Haus was too slow.  He mentioned something about since it makes the surface uniform, if there is plug work, it keeps turning the ball, more than needed for the other parts.  ????  I've never seen him use it, but I did see it there and asked about it.....he wasn't big on it.

He turned it on for me and I was surprised at how slow it actually turned.  From what I've read about them, the Haus (and Cook Sphere) look really nice and seem like they'd be a nice asset for a shop.

Just relating my discussions with my shop about the machine.

From nicks pictures with the ball in the machine, the swirls are blurred. That looks like its moving fairly quick to blur the swirls like that.

Anyway, looks like a nice peice of equipment. If you dont mind me asking, whats something like that run in cost?

And another question, is that a Punisher or PBA Inferno in the machine??

It's my Attitude 3

Yes, you can just turn the knob and walk away, but when this machine is new, you can't help but stare in amazement. LOL
