So I've been a lurker on this site for the last two years and have just recently started posting.  My question is this;  Do people only like to deal with well-known users on this board?  I've sent several messages/emails that have gotten no response and I'm wondering if that's why.  I know from reading tons of posts about deadbeat buyers & sellers that there are a bunch out there, but do people avoid noobs because of this?

Well, it may be why people don't end up going through with a deal, but it shouldn't be why they don't respond.  I always try to respond even if it's a "Sorry, I'm not interested."  So the lack of response is just another issue altogether.

I agree.  There are people on this earth that for whatever the reason, cannot and refuse to show the same respect for everyone.  If one has done something to warrant being ignored...different story.  Sorry you have not been treated better.

I've read where some people dont like to deal with users who have no profile.
You should still get a reply by PM or email, though.

Questions are rarely avoided, as far as I know and as far as I am concerned, never. I try to reply to the best of my ability and knowledge. Whether you use it or not is up to you.

Deals, trades, selling and buying, YES! Many have gotten burned badly by sending money to people offering balls for sale and never got the balls. So we often ask for "references". Trust is built up only over time and experience.
