Joe,
I've been throwing the Reax V 2 for roughly three weeks now. I've been really impressed with the hitting power and carry of the ball. My league bowls on the USBC  White 2 pattern, and I'm able to follow the oil in without loosing carry.  I liked the reaction so much that I will be drilling a Grease Monkey this week.  NEWGUY, I believe is Phil Cardinale, he posts on this site and is more then willing to answer questions and has if you read some of the Radical forums.  It's nice to get answers straight from the horses mouth.

Great equipment that works well for me. I have had a slant, slant solid, torrid, torrid affair, yeti, and the reax 2 and the grease monkey on order. I have been a Phil follower since back during his dyno-thane days and his equipment has always performed good for me. The equipment hold up great never had any issues with cracks or other concerns. To me some of their best equipment is the easy use line. The torrid affair for the price is a steal of a deal. It performs with my other high end equipment. I haven't used much of their top shelf line as I don't have the oil needed for these balls. Great equipment, Good company, no problems buying more of their equipment. FYI I am not a Radical staffer just someone who enjoys what they offer.

what actually got me was when i was on their site the torrid affair core reminded me a bit of the old inferno line from back in the day.The torrid affair looks like a winner to me so i just gotta find a new shop to go since i moved to the greater boston area.the yetti kinda looked like a winner to.

The balls really read the pattern well. Very well!!! I am in love with the Reax Version 2 with a control drill 90 x 2.5 x 55. The hit and carry on THS is phenomenal.

And the Reax 2 Pearl is a nice addition when I need added length with pop.

I just saw Mo yesterday and I can attest the product line will only get better. It's already awesome!!

FWIW, I'm a Storm/Roto junkie but I keep adding Radical pcs to my collection!

Long time Big B user who switched to Radical last month.  Love the Yeti Untamed and Torrid Elite.
Long Gone also posts the honest truth which is why i respect him. He posts these things knowing some may not like it.

It sure would be interesting to get a thorough review of the new balls being used now by the previous poster.

"Love the Yeti Untamed and Torrid Elite"? How about telling us all why.

Anyone can say they love this or that.  Not very informational nor of any help to other bowlers.

It sure would be interesting to have somebody contribute to the topic instead of completely wasting a post trolling somebody else.  LGD saying simply that he loved the Yeti Untamed and Torrid Elite was still more than you contributed to the topic.

Radical's lineup definitely compares well, and in most cases outperforms other companies' equipment of similar design or application.  Everything seems to have what I call a "hybrid" reaction, meaning that nothing is long and really sharp, but nothing is really early and smooth.  You have sharper pieces and smoother pieces, but they stay closer to the center of the range, which gives you different looks without sacrificing usability.  This means that the sharp reactions aren't so sharp that you're driving by 9s or leaving solid 4s, but the smooth reactions aren't so smooth they can't kick the 10 out.  As a result, the control to power matchup in every single ball is very good and very efficient.  Because of this, Radical is putting out some of the best equipment right now in terms of usability and versatility.

At each price point, the performance is at least equal to or greater to comparitive equipment across the board.  The Grease Monkey is the best piece you'll find at the price point, the Torrid Affair compares very well, and both the Reax 2 and Reax 2 Pearl are at the top of the list as well.  At the very least, ANY Radical ball you choose won't let you down, or you won't be disappointed.

The only radical ball I have tried is the Grease Monkey.  I love it.  I'm one of those guys always looking for something long and smooth as I have too much hand for my speed and I'm too old to put in the time and practice necessary to learn to use less hand.

My goto ball has always been a Lane Masters hornet.

I asked my driller (Joe Findling - PBA SW Regional player of the year) about it after I saw him throwing it and having issues making it finish.

He drilled it 6.5 x 6 from my PAP, pin above fingers (don't know the dual angle specifics).  Out of the box it was reading the lanes a bit earlier than I wanted.  Playing the same line as my hornet, the Grease Monkey was through the nose.  I was wanting something weaker.  Joe added a weight hole up a away from my fingers.  Bingo!  Now the Grease Monkey is longer and smooth but still great carry.  I had to move 3 & 2 out to find the pocket from the hornet.

Perfect for drier conditions or went the hornet starts reading the midlane too soon.

Look in the mirror as your post is a perfect example of you trolling me.

Saying he loves the Yeti tells us nothing.  Zero, zip, nada, nothing.  Again, how about what specifically he loves about the Yeti?  Love is a powerful term.  There must be something that stands out that makes him love it?

I think the Reax is a better ball than the Yeti.  It does better in heavy oil.  Better traction down lane. So you get better power with the Reax than the Yeti and better pin action.  That was my experience trying those two, which is better than telling us "I love the Yeti".  Real powerful and informative review there simply saying he loves it. ::) Unless that's all you need to know? ::)

Wow, gee, like I didn't know that . .  Read the subject again, OPINION on Radical.  Saying the Reax is better in heavy oil and has more traction on the backend is completely subjective, especially when saying the it's "better" than the Yeti.  If he's not looking for a heavy oil ball or his version of heavy oil is different from yours, how does that help?  He asks for an opinion on the brand, and you basically say you like the Reax better than the Yeti because it's better in "heavy oil."  Bravo.

OK, Mr cheerleader. You keep on defending and cheering for said poster.

What don't you understand of what an opinion is? Didn't say my opinion was the be all, end all. But at least I offered up something, how one ball reacted better in heavy oil than the other and what I experienced on the back end. That's more than just posting that you love something and don't even give a hint why. How does that help anybody? But if those are the types of posts you find informative, more power to you.

No need for you to be concerned anymore with what I post as that reduces you to trolling me.  You just go ahead and keep cheering on your fellow poster. Make sure to bring your pom pom's next time. ::)
