Throwing the ball too hard

How do you slow the ball down?  I throw it way too hard.  When I try to slow it down everything is out of time and it doesnt come off my hand right.  The harder I throw it the more it revs I get but it doesnt hook much.  Obviously cause I am throwing it too hard and my rev rate isnt 400 rpms.  Any suggestions?

You are probably muscling the ball.  Throwing it with your upper body strength.  Focus on rolling the ball off your hand instead of throwing the ball.  Make the ball roll over the arrows.  You can practice this with a small ball in your living room.  Make the ball roll.

My average ball speed is 18mph and I am in the lower mid 300 maybe 330-350rpm. What helps me slow the speed down is trying to keep the feet slow. The hardest part for me is when I kept my feet slow my arm swing tries to compensate. The best advice I heard is try not to over think it. Let the feet go slower and it should all come together.

+1 on all comments about slowing the pace of your feet. It is difficult to manage your foot speed on a consistent basis. Consider shortening the length of your 1st step as a method of slowing your pace. You may also be able to move up on the approach with a shorter 1st step.

As St. Croix said, move up on the approach. That is what I do. When you know you only have so much room your swing will adjust to accommodate. Try a shorter approach in practice until your arm swing and foot work sink up. It should only take a few frames.

"slow your feet"...I disagree respectfully to a point. We haven't seen his game. Advice is generic if none you us seen his game.

So indirectly some of you are saying, let your swing follow your feet...that will can cause issues. what if the OP has a short swing?  we don't know...the key is having a good swing and timing so the feet walks naturally. his feet may be trying to catch up to his swing...?? we don't know...

A video is important before you guys can advice him IMO.
