"Playing deep" does not necessarily mean swinging the ball out 30 boards and back 15. Crossing the arrows at 27-28 board with a target breakpoint of the 15 board at 40 feet is not a line you need a ton of revs to play and there are conditions that can force you into that type of line.
You can practice any line through the arrows to a target breakpoint with a spare ball, even if it doesn't get you a strike. Good practice sessions are not about scoring, they are about improving your game.
