Im baaaaaaaaaaaaack

Hay gang,

It didnt take me long, im coming back to bowling, to a certain extent. Due to selling up most of my gear, i have had to buy some new balls. I ordered them from doug sterner, their still in the process of comin to australia, so i havnt got them yet. But what i have ordered is. Track Phenom, Track Triple Threat, Track Superfreak, Ebonite Apex Obsession.Yes i know, a whole lot of hook outta the box. Triple Threat in there to cover carry down and medium conditions. Im drilling up my old 300 ball, pearl pulse(origional one, has about 1000 games on it haha. for dry lanes, dont need a spare ball, i just flatten out the pulse. I will also be re drilling a EMB XF, which is pretty old and used, for another option when the lanes start to dry out, probly go to that before the pulse.

The reaon that i have bought alot of hooking power is that im only going to bowl tournaments, which they flood with oil. So, my question to everyone is, if all balls are drilled label drilling, where are the holes in the arsenal. And how would i cover these with drillings on the ball, the drill masters could maybe suggest drillings? Keep in mind both the pulse and EMB are old and dead so they wont turn much, not like when they are new.

Thanks everyone, good luck and high scoring
matt

Welcome back, Matt.

I am not one of those gurus, either on drilling or equipment, but I do have a question that may be important for one of those experts.  When you bowl these tournaments, do you ever bowl on late squads or in events that have match play where you will be bowling on broken down or reverse block lane conditions?

Good Qustion.

In one of my first tournies back i will have to bowl on broken down conditions one day, and fresh conditions the next day. Then assuming i make the cut i will be bowling match play on fresh conditions, but ones that will break down pretty quick. Other then that i get fresh conditions pretty much all the time in other tournies. Obviously in match play tho they will break down.

Hope this helps, good luck and high scoring
