Motiv or Storm

Looking to go all Motiv or Storm, possible Ebonite International.. Just looking to get some insight on each company to help my decision..

After I got my first Motiv, I pretty quickly found myself throwing all Motivs. There's something special about the consistent reliable reaction that each Motiv gives me.

That being said, so many companies are releasing so much good stuff, its not an easy choice. I just happen to have found some luck with the Motivs I've been throwing.

I like Motiv but there are so many great options out there I pick up other manufacturers to fit the bill.  My opinion would be look around and purchase the ball for your stats and lane condition that works for you not someone else.

Every company has some decent equipment and a lot of it is personal preference. I personally think Storm/Roto has the biggest range of equipment and the best lineups to build an arsenal off of.

every company makes good equipment its wether or not it rolls good for your style and what options they give you, me i'm partile to roto since it gives me the best look and over all best ball down options, for you it maybe different, I would see a good driller and see what he would tell you for an arsenal

To jgrip's point, go see your local proshop who knows your equipment/style the best. But be forewarned that some shops are biased towards certain brands. There are two shops in my area that are notorious for being brand biased so finding a shop that has a decent selection from all brands will give you a better chance of finding what will work best for you. Everyone online will tell you the brand they use is the only one to go with but it really all comes down to personal preference. My suggestion would be to find each brands popular "benchmark" type ball and try to find one on ebay for cheap and try them out. If you are going to build an entire arsenal, I would want to give each brand a try before spending lots of money on multiple balls that may or may not be the best fit for your game.

I currently have a mixed Motiv/Storm arsenal. They both put out very good equipment that you can build a company specific arsenal around. I have sanctioned 800/300's using both brands, and I'd be comfortable focusing exclusively on either one.
 
I do like that Storm is much more specific about how to closely reproduce their NIB finishes. In the area of published technical support, they seem to do a better job. Also, right now, my opinion is that Storm has a better selection of mid-range solid reactive (non-pearl) equipment. That may or may not be an issue for you, but just be aware.
 
At a nuts-and-bolts level, Motiv balls look better, and Storm balls smell better. Flip a coin and pick your poison.
