I'm a whirlwind that burst in and out of places so fast folks sometimes wonder...what just hit.

You're the kind to gain respect by hanging with one thng a long time. Wish I had that kind of personality.

My idea of a thread together would be....remember when!!

Remember them all rubber ball, wood lane days? I remember $.55 games and everyone complaining when it went up to $.60!!!

I met my husband in the alleys one summer, I bowled 3 winter leagues back then and took summer off. Hung around once in a while to sub.

Weirdest thing, I went to school with his younger brother, my brother went to school with his sister, my youngest brother went to school with another brother of his.
3 of my childhood neighbors graduated with him and remember him.
Lived within 4 miles of each other. If he hadn't taken up bowling we never would've met.
We still live within 8 miles from where we grew up. Only thing that may chase us away when he retires, it's getting crowded here.
Houses going up all over the place, mostly city workers wanting to live in Suburbs, kind of eat, sleep, send your kids to school here, go elsewhere for other things.

heheh got to tell the story of my and golf on a manic high!!

Ran around the golf course with a bikini top on and a pair of shorts. Kept wanting to take hubby into the woods. (Smile, I was much younger then) Went barefooting through most of the course, waded into water holes to get my lost balls.

Other true story.
Ask the question "how Bad are you?"
Well we were into chip and putt that year. I thought I was doing pretty good. Tried a regular course with him. Not wanting to shot from the ladies tee.

scored a whopping 234 for 18 holes!

what's wrong with Golf? Heard some good comparison stories between golf and bowling!  Golf seems to have more respect from some folks than others. BUt even golf technology has changed that sport. Sure Tiger may have started young but heck, let's ask sawbones. Techy wise, aren't those new balls better, aren't the clubs better, how's about the greens, are they better because of technology.

I don't keep up with golf, question for sawbones, are the golf scores better now-a-days compared to back to Jack Nicholas and some older golfer guys times?

Is technology getting in the way of other sports?

Better shoes in all sports! Better balls in most.

I'm not a boxing fan, hate that. rarley watch it. Is there any technology there that helps them beat upon each other better??? Better workout equipment???//
