Any mixture with the particle will + or - the ingredients that are added.  If Pearl (generally mica material or equivalent slick based material) is added then the results will be more slide synergistic with the nature of the "load" of the particles nature takes hold.  (thus a particle pearl)

Modern load of particles also can be in amounts of low, medium, and high.  (From low to high)(also there are different materials that are used to achieve particle loads ranging from 1-3% - can't remember the max load???).

There is no set definition. It varies by manufacturer, because the definition of "particle" also varies. There have been balls that some manufacturers have not said they contain particles, but what was put into the resin base was, by other manufcaturers' defintions, particles.

Particles have run the gamut from pieces of rubber (Storm and Roto-Grip) to industrial diamonds (Legends) and everything in between.

Virtually all have been embedded in either a solid or a pearl resin base. A couple have been embedded in urethane, both solid and pearl (Visionary).
