I was just wondering if people like these types of bowling balls more or less than the other types. Let me know what your opinion is.
-
Depends on the particle type... If you want earlier traction and a smoother overall recation, carbide type particle balls are a good choice. Normally, a particle ball will handle more and longer oil than a similar pure reactive ball. It reads tha lane earlier and is less jumpy when it hits the dry.
Personally, I am big fan of light load particle balls - because of the extra traction on oily shots that improve control considerably.

Yea I tend to purchase more Reactives, but the Particles always work well for me when stuff tends to get sloppy.
They usually are pretty smooth.
I did buy a Side Winder....and oddly it was a back end machine. I didn't like it.

Big Time Sanded. Still my go to ball in the oil or when the lanes get squirelly!

Haven't had a particle ball I haven't liked Visonary Particle Gryphon, WMB, Seek and Destroy and a Complete Chaos always were great choices on almost any fresh shot. smooth and predictable

I've got a high-load diamond particle Yeah Baby. Most people think "high load particles equals hooking in the backswing and burned out by the arrows" but you put a finer surface on it and it's clean enough through the heads, good midlane, and never, ever slides through carrydown. Mine's at 800-1000-grit plus a light coat of the Legends polish. Awesome, awesome ball.

Personally, I love 'em. Got 2 Quests in my bag, one for early-strong mids (heavier) and one for early smooth (great for wet/dry), and the Mystic- mid/snap (pearl)

particle balls have their place just like reactive or plastic balls. for heavy oil and/or carrydown they're great. it's my choice when playing the cheetah pattern on synthetic lanes----hard and straight from outside the first arrow.
-
I've only touched two particle balls and both were great looking reaction but I never could get enough drive at the deck, they were good to find the shot, but not always scoring on it for me.
I'm a little against them with the strength of solid resins these days but i've seen them work wonders for many people.
