pattern
« on: October 13, 2004, 03:01:34 AM »
Just thought I'd bring this up since I've made mention a couple of times before of the pattern my Tuesday night league is using.  Last night I found out what it actually is.  Were bowling on a slightly lengthened (2 feet or so) version of PBA E.  Really fun - you can see the ball bounce off the 1 board and go left.  I can see how the touring pros kill this pattern - if you keep speed consistant and can hit a board it's really not that hard to score; but if you can't it gets real tough real fast.

Yep have bowled on E and probably one of the easiest of all of them.  Play up the gutter one way or another.

On edit:  Just thought of a good perspective on  pattern E.  Check out ---->  http://www.pba.com/regional/regionstory.asp?ID=710  Dick Weber blows away the competition on E in a Senior regional in MN few weeks back averaged 225 for 8 games in qualifying.   More proof that Dick ain't done just yet.
