It is on now.  Started a half hour late here in AZ due to slow car racing.

The bowling today was a little late starting but I thought it was very exciting once it got going! I was just as excited as those in attendance at the matches!

Before it got going I thought it was going to be a DUD .. I was very pleased!

Very nice change of pace for the shows. Its awesome to see the crowd into it like that. Just wondering what frat house that it was taped in. Lol.

Unreal.  Wasn't on after Michigan State/Louisville game.  Checked channel guide, nothing mentioned.  Go fishing for it and find the wrap up on ESPN!  Missed it.  Anybody post it on youtube yet or any word if the assholes at ESPN might want to re-air it so they can make up for their mistake?

I thought the show was a terrible display of bowling.

5 missed single pin spares in the first game and Pete missing the head pin right leaving
a 1-2 and then missing the head pin left.

Had the DVR set for PBA bowling since I was going to be unable to watch it. Since the asshats at ESPN delayed it 30 min, but didn't alter the guide time, I didn't get the last 20-25 minutes, so don't know the outcome.

I can, however, watch some drag racing that I DO NOT CARE ABOUT!

 Thanks ESPN.

I've learned to add 2 hours to the recording of the PBA broadcasts on ESPN. And sometimes it will still get missed.

Professional Bowling needs to find a TV home other than ESPN.

I've been adding 30 - 60 minutes for LIVE shows; if I hadn't seen this thread just before diner time, I would never have added the one hour I did because this wasn't, as far a I know, live. Maybe I should add 60 minutes to every PBA show on ESPN, given the regard ESPN has shown towards bowling and bowlers.

Just goes to show You ESPN is not worried about Bowling It gets no respect. If You ever read the Ticker at the bottom Bowling is never on it. But Cricket is. Why? CBS need to take Bowling over. When they had it it was good.

Playing Devil's Advocate here..

the ticker is not the be all/end all of it. It may seem low to you, but there is a hell of a lot more cricket followers in the world than tenpin bowling. But in either case,

When a lot of the World Team Challenge and the LPBT was on Prime Sports Network, they ran tickers on that as well, which bowling never was featured. And IIRC, there were/are tickers on CBS Sports, and bowling wasn't on it, either.

In fact, I don't remember ever seeing bowling featured on the rolling ticker on any sports network. So don't let that be the be all/end all of it.

Bowling was best when it was on ABC.

I agree with You. It is a shame. I did not realize anyone watched Cricket in the US. I thought that was just in Europe. Bowling needs respect. People need to get out and get people in Leagues. I am not Bowling this Year was still Sanctioned. Every little bit helps.

Well, the team challenge is the best part of the Tour for me and I'm bummed I'll have to watch it on youtube.

BTW, ESPN's sports crawler is annoying.  Run it once every 15 minutes.

they used to do that, which is weird, especially with the fact that now, that bloody ticker is on all the time and nearly on EVERY ESPN channel.

The only time I hadn't seen it run was the either the SWAC or NCAA Championship tournament (between Maryland Eastern Shore and Fairleigh Dickinson) on ESPNU, and even that was from 3 years ago.

If people need to be updated every three minute on scores they should really get a life.  But that's ESPN for you, the best and worst thing that have ever happened to sports.

Can't argue with the bold. They used to have the tickers every 30 minutes, were on for a minute a the most, then were off. If we're watching the channel, it's because we are interested in what is showing on it at that time, not other sports. If we wanted those other sports, we'd tune in to the channels airing those sports.
