PBA Experience league - US Open Pattern... (thoughts)
« on: August 14, 2012, 12:39:19 PM »
....should be re-named the US Open-Frame Pattern.  Boy did it produce a bunch of them!!! LOL!

Shot a so-so 478 with a gutterball on a Turkey going into the 10th.   >:(

Teammate shot a 75 in game 3.  Just a 75.....  <facepalm>

Saw the 8-9 split left too.     :o

But loads of fun had by all who accepted the challenge.   Boos to all who blew off last night in order to keep their averages higher.

U.S. Open is a true test of your bowling skill.  :D

I happened to get that pattern on one of our "Mystery Pattern" weeks in my league. I managed to shoot 740 for four, with a 228 game. I wasn't happy with my set at the time, but once they revealed the pattern to us (the following week), I felt pretty good about my score! :-)

I wish the US Open pattern they put out for our position round was the actual US Open pattern.  The one I bowled on was alot of friction on the outside.  I was a bit mad, since I was bowling for first.  I had a hard time keeping the ball right of the headpin.  I was waiting for the Open pattern all summer.  Glad to see someone actually got to bowl on it.

Here's me on the so-called pattern they put out.
