Question about ABT entry in Chicagoland.
« on: August 11, 2012, 03:41:10 PM »
I feel like bowling ABT at the center where I used to run the pro shop. I bowled this summer in a nonsanctioned sport league, and don't have a sanctioned average since summer 09. Would I even be able to bowl it without a USBC sanction card or a book average?

Or if you want to talk to him in person, they have a tournament in West Chicago at Bowling Green Sports center today.  they should be there at least until 3pm...

Bowlers with no averages for the past three (3) years, 45 games or more may enter and
bowl at an assigned average, if they meet all other membership requirements. They
should receive minimal handicap until they have established a Tournament Average
with 21 or more games, or are assigned an average by the Local Director

Sorry guys! When I went in, first off, they took my sport shot average, asked me if I wanted to bowl as a guest, took my entry, and I was off at the races!

Something else I didn't know. Last time I bowled ABT, it was modified house shots. I guess they started putting out Kegel patterns like 2 years ago. That changes what squad I want to bowl, lol. 2 shifts before me, no reoil, and everyone burnt a hole between 10 and 15.

Impending Doom, glad you could make it.I was there as well.Bowled the 11:30 squad.Unfortunately, 9th frame,3rd game,I tweaked my left hip and couldn't continue.
Saw my doctor and got a  cortisone injection.Should be good to bowl in 5-6 days.
Hope you enjoyed it and bowl more tounaments.

Effen,

Sorry to hear that. I hope you're doing well. I was going to bowl Streamwood this weekend, but don't think I can make it. Then, the rest of them are too far away. I'll wait until the next round of close ones are here. I'm on the edge of Kane, so Arlington and Crest Hill are way too far for me to drive lol.
