Let's see how this helps me select a new ball
« on: April 27, 2007, 03:21:58 AM »
From the current line, you're allowed to bowl  ONLY  with 2 balls BUT they have to be the same type of ball (for example: 2 Furys or 2 Agents drilled as you wish, - top wgt and pin as you wish), for all your leagues, tournaments, practice, etc. Which would you choose and how would you drill/surface prepare them?

Two Hot rod hybrids. One with pin in strong possition and one with pin around 5".
The stronger drilled ball would i take down to about 1000-grit, and the other would i left as it was.

2 Furys first one pin over bridge grey scotch brite and rough buff. 2nd one pin under bridge 1000 abralon. I could probably get by on most conditions with that.

Not sure on the ball, most companies have equipment that is versatile enough to fit what you are looking for.  I would go with a strong asymmetrical ball, by changing the placement of the MB you can drastically alter the shape of the ball reaction, and surface adjustments will do the rest for you.

I will take Hole pounder solid one @ 10:30 drilling with pin under ring finger with C.G out 45 degree leave in the box finish. The other one is stacked leverage 12:00 with either pin high or below with a slight shine to it.But right now I have only one for now that is the one with 10:30 drilling.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Thing Lives, one drilled like mine at 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 pin at finger line (mine's actually above the finger line) in box condition, maybe 600-grit, one with a longer pin with a light polish.  I believe I could play a lot of shots with those two balls.  And not have to buy any new ones for a few years, either.

I would choose the Raw Hammer Pain because it's versatile enough to be used on everything.

One would be pin above the birdge 5.5" from pap and no balance hole.  The second one would be drilled with the pin 4.5" from pap and no balance hole.

I'll take a couple Total NV's.  Once with TJ trick layout and one with a 105 or 135 degree layout.
