2009 Hammer Bronzen Schietspoel Dual Lane Condition Event
« on: February 11, 2009, 08:11:45 PM »
Greetings all!

Next week I will be bowling the Dual Lane dressing event in Tilburg as part of the EBT.  Here is the patterns we will be on:

Should be fun! What do you think?

They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Looks like fun, wish I was going, maybe next year...

Do you have any thoughts on what equipment you'll use/how you'll attack it?

AB,

For the short....

Near the 7-8 board...probably with either my Grand Illusion or regular Illusion depending on the jumpiness at the breakpoint.  Have a weak drill on my GI and will scrub the shine off to make it even more smooth. Will use my neutral hand position to induce forward roll for move even reaction.

For the long...

Probably pretty deep with my Cell and Cell Pearl.  Probably just a soft bump from 20-15 or so as with 46 feet....need not to give the pocket away.

Hopefully will get a look at the Squad before me to get a read on where they are playing.  Right now this is my attack plan.  Hopefully we will lay the shot down at my home center and test it out a bit.

I don't know what the surface is like where you're going to be but I'd be surprised if the short doesn't play further out than that

I played last year, the short was way out...3-4-5 board at the arrows and 2-3-4 at the back.

The long was easy.

I think you would need to scuff your jazz for the short as the grand and illusion even with surface will want to jump off the spot far too quickly.

The short played pretty snappy on the fresh then once it had broken down a little you could move in and bump it off the gutter, 6-7-8 to 1-2-3.

Quite high friction lane surface in Tilburg.

MTD,

Thanks for the advice! Will do exactly that.  Figured to scuff up the Jazz anyway for the short as the Jazz is really jump off the spot.  Really looking forward to this tourney. First attempt at the Dual Lane Condition.
