Walked into my local pro shop to jackpot, found out that a "sport shot" was laid down at the other end. Free bowling and house sponsored tourney for those who wanted to test the "sport shot". Needless to say I left my jackpotting friends who were shooting 260+ every game to test the sport shot.

I did not know that they laid out the scorpion beforehand. I was just told it was  a "sport shot", big difference! The proprietor is a great guy and offered free bowling and a mini match play tourney with house money to make things interesting.

1st game-183 Used the Mystic, regular speed(16-17mph), stood at 20 threw to 10. Could not miss right but found a solid line halfway through the game.

2nd game(Diff pair) - 155 UGH Used the Silencer, mystic went too long. Did not find a line until halfway through the game and could not execute. Stood at about  23 and threw to 7. The silencer came back nice and strong here, I just could not execute and found the line way too late.

3rd game(Same pair) - 199 Silencer again, same line, dried up a bit near the end and I didnt realize this until the game was over. Still a pretty good game.

In retrospect, I loved the experience and will be back. Miss by 3-4 boards and the results could be drastically different. What was so satisfying about the experience, my "hotshot" 210+ avg friends refused to bowl on the pattern. I won the match play tourney with these sorry scores, lol. The bowlers I bowled against all carried 195+ averages and the high game against me was 158!
Wish I would've known the pattern beforehand, would've tried to go a bit straighter. Next week is the Viper I believe. Everybody should go out and join a experience league or get your local proprietor to do something similar at your alley.
