PBA pattern advice

I am bowling in my first PBA experience league this summer and am trying to do my homework about the different patterns.  So I am asking if anyone out there can help me learn a bit more about these patterns from their experience (or point me towards some good articles or videos about them) so I can learn their characteristics and formulate a gameplan and approach to each pattern and don't just walk in completely blind.  I am hoping to find information beyond the quick descriptions of each pattern I seem to find everywhere.

For reference purposes my stats are as follows:

I am a stroker/tweener
I don't know my exact rev rate but I estimate it at about 250rpm
My ball speed is about 15-17mph at the pins
I have a video online (its a month or so old and some of the stuff I was doing wrong in it I have been working on since)
My current aresenal consists of a MoRich NSane LevRG, an AMF Nighthawk and a Colombia Boss.  I am currently working on upgrading my older stuff and have settled on either a Black Widow Bite or Buzzbomb for heavy oil, my NSane for medium-medium heavy and a Roto-Grip Neptue or Pluto for light, and I am waiting for my White Dot to arrive which will be for extreme dry and spares.
I do not know what my drilling specs are and I am still learning how to recognize this.  I can figure this out and/or provide a picture of my NSane if needed.

Any help anyone can give will be very much appreciated.

Fluff everything you've said is stuff I've either been researching or practicing already.  I've sort of come up with different visulizations of what type of equipment I'd try for each shot and have been researching balls for light, medium and heavy oil.  I think I'm fairly set in this regard but I've always got more to learn.

Lately I've been practicing different lines to the pocket with the different equipment I have now (which is old, but still effective for different looks).  I've been working on playing straight up the outside, deep inside, direct lines, different ball speeds and seeing how my body holds up without my brace.  So far I've been pretty successful at being accurate and I think with new equipment that fits better (I've outgrown the spans on a couple of my older balls) I can be even more accurate. Mmy arm and wrist have been fine without the brace so I think I'm going to slowly stop wearing it.

Oh in terms of arsenal...  I went with this mentality...

I already have a variety of ball reactions, they may not be the best for PBA patterns but I want to see what these balls do on these patterns before I start blowing money on new equipment.  Now I know that I definitely need a certain type of ball ball with X layout and maybe a ball with this other reaction based on what I already have.  A few of my balls that I use on house shots work just as good on the PBA patterns with maybe a surface tweak here or there (or in some cases no tweaking).

Yeah I understand that mindset for the arsenal, my big problem is that my gear is so old and have so many games on them that trying to get a reaction or driving power out of some of them on anything but a THS is going to be very very hard to do.  As it is in the position I'm currently in I can afford to spend some on a couple new balls since I'm really getting back into bowling seriously, If I wasn't then I wouldn't be able to justify spending the money.

In my limited experience, people tend to have more issues with the oil going gutter to gutter and sending balls out of bounds into the ditch.

On a THS, they are used to the bounce back the dry gives.

I had great success on sport shots by standing right and finding a breakpoint down the lane that I could go straight down the lane to and move left until that breakpoint sends it into the pocket. I just chase the oil at that point.

And throwing hard and straight at all single pin spares doesn't hurt.

Se7en that's pretty much what I'm discovering in my research.  I won't be able to swing the ball like a normal house shot, which is why I've been practicing throwing straight up the outside (usually between 3 and 10) and researching and paying attention to how carrydown affects breakpoint.

Throwing hard and straight is why I elected to get a regular plastic white dot from my free ball league!
