Simple Green/Water is what I use in the shop, it's good, cheap and will not hurt the ball. Some feel it leaves a residue, some don't, but I'll take a bit of alcohol on a rag after the SG/Water just to dry the mixture and if there is anything, it comes off.

I've been useing simple green for years with good results.I spray a 50/50 mix of S.G. and water on the ball, let it soak in a few minutes, spray it again and turn on the spinner and clean with a new towel.I follow up by spraying on some water on the ball and spin while drying with the towel.the ball ends up squeaky clean.S.G. won't clean belt marks though.

Been using it for 2 years now. Never had a ball 'die' on me. I do hot water baths every 100 games or so per ball. I use 91% alcohol to finish the process and it seems to evaporate any residue on the cover.

A little stronger mix (less water) should get the belt marks off, w/a little bit of elbow grease.  I've never had a problem w/that.

I use a combo of 8oz simple green, 8oz water and 8oz of 91% alcohol together in one spray bottle.  The alcohol helps it to evaporate very quickly and helps in the cleaning process as well.  It is a great cleaner, gets everything including belt marks off, never leaves a residue and is very inexpensive.

Simple Green is a great ball cleaner. I've got a gallon of Simple Green for what I paid for a 10 oz. bottle of Neo Tac, never again, been using SG for 4 years now.
