PBA Points list
« on: November 07, 2003, 12:53:43 AM »
Despite not making the cut this week, Brad Angelo will still have a decent hold on the World Ranking points list unless Mika or Couch do very well.  They're the only two that can overtake him, and they both must make tv to do it.

This appears to be the "first" weakness that Brad Angelo has shown since the beginning of last season. After not making the cut to 64, Brad went over to Big B to work on some equipment, then home to Lockport, NY. He is not bowling in the Regional at Reckio's, rather taking a few days off, and spending time with wife and 2 young-uns.
Maybe a short rest will bring out the best in hime again. I know he had a hectic summer and fall before heading to Japan.

It's probably disappointing that he didn't bowl well, but with the start he's had, he deserves a break.  Depending on how Mika does now, he might pick up at about the same place he left off.  Mika's gotta get at least another 2nd to overtake him.

BTW...Brad who used to be a part of the Storm Amatuer Staff will be on the Big B's staff as of Jan 1st from what I have been told....they must like what they see on and off the lanes, since he has been doing many clinics for youth bowlers.

I saw something on Brunswick's site about him already being a member of the staff.  He's been using nothing but Brunswick, but that doesn't always mean anything.

Yes, he has been on their "staff", but will be a "Full Staffer" starting the year....(hint...take a look at post on 11/6  "old ball...new look")

Mika still has a chance, but Couch folded in 4 to CJ...but all things considered, it is still way to early in the season to worry about who can overtake who...

Oh yeah, I was just making a point of how well Angelo's bowled so far.  When you can miss the first cut this early in the season and still have a pretty good hold on the list, it should be a sign of good things to come later in the year.
