I understand the stigmas are still out there, and that somebody like him would be understandably nervous, but the fact of the matter is that I think that minorities are starting to make a bigger deal out of their situation than anybody else is any more. Yeah, 20 years ago, there were still big issues. Now it's no more than a person here or there. You will always have people that will dislike you or make fun of you for any reason. I'm skinny and I have freckles and I've been teased about both, and I think it's the same now whether your black, white, gay, straight, fat, bald, whatever. 90% of people take that in stride any more, and especially as someone of a younger generation, the stuff just doesn't matter to me. I don't understand why someone would seriously hate somebody because they like guys or their skin's a different color . . it just doesn't compute. So while I roll my eyes every time I see a dramatic article like that, I suppose I can understand it from his side too. I married a mexican, and I make mexican jokes all the time, but it's in mockery of people who feel that way. I make more jokes about skinny white people . .
So basically I don't think any more or any less of him. He's a professional bowler, and a good one. If he likes dudes . . I don't really care. I like seafood and my daughter doesn't, it's all the same to me.
That's just like, your opinion, man.
