Do they have a list of tourney's and patterns on pba.com?

According to PBA.com it doesn't appear this exact pattern was used last year. You can see the pattern here: http://www.pba.com/laneconditions/default.asp?ID=6
Note that they say this is the most challengin PBA pattern.

A very similar pattern was used at the PBA World Championship:
http://www.pba.com/laneconditions/default.asp?ID=14

Which was won by Walter Ray.

BTW, did you ask beacuse you bowled the PRO tournament in Palo Alto today? Phil said they had applied PBA Pattern D to the lanes. I didn't bowl particularly well since I kept losing my concentration and making errant shots.

Hamster: I looked over on PBA.com, but I didn't see anything about which pattern was used at each tournament. The only thing I found was the description of each pattern.

Kim: No, I didn't bowl at Palo Alto, but our monday night scratch league puts out a different PBA pattern each week. Last week we bowled on Pattern E and no one really faired that well and they say Pattern D is the hardest, so I'm looking forward to the challenge.

E is supposed to be an easy one though, isn't it?  I remember Randy saying something like "E for Enjoyment" on a telecast a few months ago.

Hi Bob,

Is there also an inside shot on E, or is the pattern too short for that?

Any advice for an aging power stroker, playing pattern E on old (but fairly well-maintained) wood lanes?

Also, when layed down on wood lanes that have for years seen nothing but a house wall, do you agree that it takes a while for the new pattern to "take"?

TIA!

So Pattern E is kind of a hybrid between a sport-ish type shot and a house shot with an extreme wall?  Get it inside, and it takes off, but get it too far outside and it does the same thing?  Lol, instead of a washout, you get a nose job.  A Michael Jackson nose job . . .
