point your feet towards your intended target? Does it work?

i move my right foot back when i'm standing left and throwing right, and move my right foot forward when i'm playing up the arrows.  this helps to square up my shoulders to my intended target AT THE LINE.  if you point at your target when you line up, you will be out of line when you get to the line, unless you make some adjustment during your approach.

I guess you can walk with your toes pointed in whatever direction you want, but you should be walking along the line you are playing.

The exception to this is a true power player, like Robert Smith, who is going to walk left of his target, in order to clear the space under his right shoulder, allowing him to propel the ball outward.

depends on whether you are pigeon-toed or eagle-toed.

I point my feet to the gutter.  This helps me open up my hips so I can swing the ball more.

Bones - Just because all over 456 year olds fear breaking their ankles if they crank the ball off of it does not mean everyone else does. I don't believe in leaving enough room between my ankle and the ball to drive a school bus with Plamor on it through.

Channel - If I'm shooting ten pins or swinging the ball alot I'll point my feet at my target and walk towards it to keep my shoulders square to the target so I don't have to open my shoulder up too far. Then again I'm not a cranker.

Charles - Good point. What if yuo are bow legged and eagle-toed ? Ahh the possibilities.
