PBA Telecasts On Video
« on: September 27, 2004, 10:39:14 AM »
I did post and ask this a long time back, but as we are fast approaching the start of the new PBA season, i thought it might be a better time to ask. Does anyone have any PBA shows on tape, or would they be able to tape some of the new season and send me a copy? although i live in england, i can get the videos changed over to uk format. i am willing to recompense people for the cost of the tape and postage obviously. if anyone is feeling helpful and would be willing to offer a helping hand here, please e-mail me (i.bishop@btopenworld.com) or message me through this site.
Many thanks

i can record them on my tivo(ftp into it) and encode it into a video file for yea....

but transferring is the problem(could be 1-3 gigabytes, without commercials)

encoding time and transferring availability is dependant on amount of school work/partying/bowling is happening(which has higher priority of course)

i could set up a ftp server at my parent's house but would only be available thurs-sun night.

i have a couple saved from last year i could test with(compression/encoding wise)

good suggestions, but getting a decent dial up connection in my neck of the woods is very difficult, and although my computer is fast enough to download at a decent rate, it still proves a problem from time to time. will look into it though, and see if i can arrange a better set up online.

I found a piece of software free on the internet that will capture the Strikepass (realone, *.ro) while you are viewing. I have saved many shows from previous years for personal use. There are several out there that are available. Strikepass is great and worth every penny.
