Anyone experience bowling fantastic, or at least considerably better when bowling on own (in phantom league) compared to bowling in traditional 3 or 4 man team league??

I must admit, I love bowling on my own, get into my rhythm, score well, when it comes to my league, seem to be sitting around most of time, bowl average.. Does this happen to anyone out there?? Love your thoughts on this one??

I typically bowl better during open bowl.  Nothing better than getting on a pair of lanes after the kids have spent the entire day throwing plastic all over the place!  For some reason I struggle on a fresh shot.

At another center across town it is the opposite.  I bowl better after they run the machine.

Not sure if it's a difference in lanes, oil, pattern, or what, but it's very frustrating.

Yeah, I don't know of anyone that wouldn't bowl better when there aren't 8 to 10 people burning up the lane with super soakers. Nevermind the rhythm bowling alone allows you to get into. We are actually running a 32 person king of the hill PBA experience league this summer so that should allow for some pretty good scores.

I usually score much better when bowling alone or with the family. But, this past weekend, we got on a pair and it was all I could muster to bowl a 194 high game. Over/under and about 20 7 ot 10 pins in 5 games. Nothing in the ball would carry. A nightmare. Got good practice on maintaining balance and hitting my mark though.
