Personal Opinion
« on: December 09, 2010, 08:57:34 AM »
I seen this happen before on this site..But a seller lists a ball for sale under the general topics area about a brand of bowling ball.  Someone sends this person a personal email saying that they want to purchase the ball and also list this info (reply) referring that they sent a email to them.  The seller than lists the same ball in the "general for sale" area in the brand name for the bowling ball.  A different person responds to the "FOR SALE BALL" and also respond by personal email and lists that email sent in a reply to the original posting.  But this is about an hour later than the first post wanting to buy the ball.  They seller than says that the second person was sold the ball.  If I was the first person that responded to the "FOR SALE", I would be pi**ed.  It's not that I was out bidded, because the  seller listed the price that he wanted to seller the ball for.
It's my "PERSONAL OPINION" that if you are selling a ball, you list it once in the "General For Sale" area, give a complete description for the ball and the first person that meets your requirements to purchase the ball, they get it.  I don't not need to see the same ball lists in 2 or 3 different places on this web site.

IMHO they could list it in the general section AND the manufacturers section, not a problem at all. All they would have to do is honor the first come first served method(PM Timestamp).
