Thanks for the answer. I learned something new today. I guess I will have to miss work next week.

These are qualifying rounds next week for the 7 open spots on the PBA exempt roster for next year. 9 games on each of 5 consecutive days on the 5 PBA patterns. See

75 or so entrants paying $xxxx (used to be $1500) to compete.

I saw Johnny Petraglia and his son, John Petraglia, practicing today, where I get my balls drilled, Howell Lanes, NJ. I asked Johhny about this topic. He said KR, the bowling bag people, have been sponsoring John for the past year at different tournaments around the country. They will possibly/probably sponsor him for some of the TQR next season.

John is finishing his last year of college at Youngstown State in Ohio.

(The father is called Johnny the son is called John. I learned today that the son is not technically a Junior because they have different middle names. I had thought they were Sr. and Jr.)

I crossed next to him in a couple of qualifying and sweeper squads at the True Amateur Tournaments Megabucks this past February. Seemed to be a pretty laid back kind of guy. Has a pretty good game. Better than average revs and good speed. Seems to have the tools. Would be interesting to see how he does in the TQR's next season.
