Depends on the wall, but for the 10:1 top hats I like stronger covers and closed angles to limit my response from wet to dry. I am around 375 RPM, so I like to keep my ball in the oil as long as possible and make minor tweaks to get my ball to face the pins properly.
My opinion is that too many medium to high rev players are simply trying to overplay the pattern by crossing too many boards leading to inconsistent reaction and bad carry of corners.
