Lowest Series of the Year, but......

Friday night I had my lowest set of the year at this house with a 647.  My games were 235, 209, 203.  The crazy thing was I had 0 open frames.

A clean set and only 647.  After the first game, I lost it all.  I moved in, I moved out, I sped up, I slowed down, I lofted a tad, I did a lot of different things trying to find a good shot.

I left a lot of 7 pins and 8 pins.  I know leaving 8 pins is from too much drive on the back, so I tried to composate for that, but it didn't much work lol.

So what is your lowest clean series ever?

I don't recall having but maybe a couple clean series, but I think
I had 660+ and 690 or so

Clean, well, i'd say it must've been a 631 series shot a couple of weeks ago. A lot of strike-spare-strike-spares, 199, 217, 215. I may have shot lower, but i can't recall.

Before Friday I had never shot less than 720 with a clean set.  It was odd.  Looking forward to getting my clean sweep pin hahaha.

  Poor boys, I feel sorry for you, NOT!  A 647 is your LOWEST set of the year?  I know people who would kill to get a set that HIGH,lol.
 
  I know it is in days gone by, but it wasn't all that unusual at one time years ago to shoot a clean series and be right at or BELOW 600.  You shouldn't feel odd about shooting good, just priveledged to have the carry you do.

Don't remember for certain, but I believe it was around 605.
Something like 202-208-195.

I don't ever recall saying anything about the shot I was on being tough.  I just said I had a clean series and it was pretty low for not having any opens.  I never once said 647 wasn't a good set.  Just odd to be in that range with a clean series.

647 low sounds like a one EASY shot what they do move the fingers on the pin setters up so the ten pin falls easier?

I think my low set ever clean was in the 580s.  I shot 577 in doubles at Nationals last year with one open....

I'm in the same boat. I bowl in a mixed league on Monday nights, my low set this year has been 644. I've opened quite few times though. Just two weeks ago I shot 710 with 5 opens , 4 splits and a flagged 10 pin. I shot 300 the middle game somehow, thats what saved me. I've having the year of my life so far, at the end of the first half of the season I'm averaging 239! Yea, its not hard but still, I'm not complaining!
