« on: September 28, 2008, 01:37:12 AM »
can someone explain when drilling a ball and using a pin buffer layout like on storm equipment, what does it actual do for the ball/roll?? does it help in fine tuning a layout?? say you use a 1" pin buffer what will this do compared to a say 3" pin buffer?? the smaller pin buffer will do this and a larger pin buffer will do that??  plzz explain.. thankss slashrr69

If you haven't yet, check out this url: http://www.stormbowling.com/pdf/drill_specs/psa%20drill%20-%20right-reading.pdf

It is from storm and is for balls with a strong PSA, but it also has references to a pin buffer and what it is used for.

thanks juggernaut!!! I tried looking for that on storm's site earlier this morning but couldn't find.. I must have been looking in the wrong area when I was there.. I even went down into the cellar to find some old storm paper worksheets, but they didn't actually say how it helped.. then I got yelled at by the daughter for waking her up.. come on I thought everybody was up on sunday mornings at 9am..lol..      thankss again..   slashrr69

slashrr69 - Go here:  http://www.rotogrip.com/products/balls/video/

Then click on Seminar, then watch Seminar12 Video from about 5 minutes in and the whole of Seminar13 Video..

There you'll see Pete Weber roll 3 balls with different Pin Buffers and you can clearly see the difference between them..
