One other thing to think about when you have a problem like carry, is where the oil is located on the lane. When a center changes surfaces, especially going from old wood to new synthetics, lanes MUST be oil differently. You could have the highest scoring house in the world, but change from wood to synthetics, and you will not be able to score very well at all.
If the lanes were old wood, then I am guessing that it took a lot of oil to maintain any head oil that would last anywhere near 3 games. Once the new lanes were installed, it would take a while to get the shot to be the same as or close to before. As far as the new anvilanes are concerned, they are slicker and what everyone else has said is correct, but once the new lanes were put in, you HAVE to consider yourself at a new bowling center and start over to decide where your comfort zone is.
