BallReviews Chat - Project Terminated

Thank you to everyone who signed up for BallReviews Chat.
Unfortunately the project has not caught on.
The average logins per day has dwindled to low single digits.

The project will be terminated.

I say bring it back next PBA season, and only run the room during the telecasts.

Thanks for making an effort to make the site more enjoyable. I agree, if you relaunch it during the next PBA season, it may really catch on!

I do not believe it would require PBA season.....maybe try it in mid August or so. Incase you have not noticed the site has died down significantly since most of the leagues are over now. August/September this place is normally pumping.

I agree with Carl. Once all the new equipment starts coming out, and the new fall leagues start up again, the Ballreviews Chat will be up and going good i think. Hope everything works out because this is a great idea MegaMav

Honestly, I think it is a good idea, but someone would need to set a schedule as to specific times when a chat will take place.  I know I have checked several times only to see no one on the chat.  If a set time was scheduled, I think you would get a lot more people.  Just my opinion.

Was it the interface? the offseason?

I think it's the offseason and the fact that when people are on here, the turnaround time for posts is very fast already.  If you had a driller online all the time, I could see it being pretty valuable (though time consuming for the driller), but just as a chat, I don't think it's got enough advantages over the forums (among other things, the forums are persistent while the chat is not).

As the others said, during the PBA telecasts, it'll be pretty cool.  I participated over at BK for a while during the shows and it was fun enough.
