Did you do the CATS analysis at Reno?

I know you intended to and I’m curious about your results.

I was thinking the same as "Bones". Did the suggestions at the session affect how you played the tournament?

Bob - I went thru the CATS as well at Reno and had Jasnau do my analysis. Had pretty much the same experience and numbers. The biggest difference was my rev rate was a little over 300 (A little higher than I thought it would be). My push away is down and hit wanted me to extend out more but like you he commented on how good I was at the release point.

They told me the same thing on the oil pattern. They are not allowed to put out the ABC shot but they said they put a similar pattern out. Like you I hit the pattern during the test shots. I believe I threw 8 out of the 10 for strikes. But I didn’t have anything close to that reaction in the stadium. Whether it was the pattern or the lane surface who knows.

The cost for the analysis with no real coaching sessions is $65. (This is what I did).

A coaching session using video analysis I believe was $85.

You could get the coaching and CATS together for $115. Add a copy of the video and it was around $145.

Get the full package and a new storm ball (of your choice) for $305.

The $65 session, they allowed me about 10 minutes of warm up and then the measured the next 10 shots.

They then reviewed a video tape of my from behind of my release and reviewed the numbers they had accumulated.

He then gave a few suggestions as to what I might change to help any weakness in my game he saw. Also some suggestions on ball drillings and grip.

The whole process took around 35 minutes.

If you get the coaching sessions then I believe it is an hour.

They suggest that you not do this until after you have bowled the tournament so that you are not tempted to change anything during the competition.

I’m glad I did it and it told me what I wanted to know, but I probably would not do it again now that I have done it once.
