Title: Plastic ball

It's been a long time since I've used a plastic ball, but I want to get something plastic or whatever that goes real long and move just a little on the back end.
Anybody have any suggestions?

For the most part, plastic is plastic.  They all do about the same thing.  The exceptions I can think of:
1) Lane #1 XXXL has a "real" core in it, which gives it a little more motion and better carry than other plastic balls if you want to use it as a strike ball on drier lanes.
2) Storm's Ice Storm has an 85-87 D-scale hardness rating, which is the highest on the market right now (I believe it's the same hardness as the old Blue Dots).  This generally means it will go pretty darn straight.

Otherwise, the only real differences are looks and price.

Stay away from the Viz-A-Balls if you want a little back end. The Spiral wouldn't turn much unless you kicked it. The White Dot can be setup to give a little pop on the back.  Maxims may also be made to do this.  I like a spare ball with a little forgiveness.

Thanks guys.
 I am actually looking for something I can use for a strike ball on drier conditions. I guess I should have said that the first time.
I was thinking of getting the XXXL, but I wasn't sure if there was anything out there that was comparable to it in plastic or something else.

I have an ABS Lane Navi for dry lanes.  Changed the surface a bit and it hits really hard.  They are usually cheap if you can find them.  They are not plastic but very effective.  I was selling them for $69.95 drilled when I had then.  Bought 8 cases.

One "precision"...

ALL bowling balls are "plastic"... plastic is a generic term (used in this case) for a wide variety of polymers ... polyester is a specific kind of polymer... so the one you are talking about here are mainly polyesters... (polyester balls)

I know that 99% of the people when say "plastic" are understood (they are referencing polyester) but the right way in this case is the polyester word...

You might also look at the Hammer Rayzer it is for toasted lanes and will provide good movement.

I know its not a plastic ball, but I use my Roto Grip Neptune for spare and for when the lanes a just a little bit toasted.  I can get it to go as straight as a plastic ball, but also have some decent movement on drier lanes.

Very useful ball to have in the bag.

ROTO GRIP SPARE TIRE looks cool and plastic but will make a small even turn...good for straight and strikes...
