Help!!!!

At the moment I'm struggling with my release I can't seem to get any decent amount of side roll.I am a tweener who bowls using a wrist strap due to extremely week wrist/forearm. The only way I seem to be getting any movement at the moment is using a more of a suitcase release but it has no snap and the carry is awfull.

As soon as I try to keep my hand behind the ball I loose all side rotation,what can I do in order to be able to keep my hand behind the ball but still generate some decent side roll?

also the timing of the release is very important. It should be really close to your ankle when your thumb comes out. Also - maybe you can practive without the support to build strength?

Your hand may call for lateral under thumb pitch and you may not have it.

Also in drilling the post regarding lateral pitches and how to find yours is also present.

Noodle, you dont necessarily have to stay behind the ball, for some players, that kind of hand position results in a straight ball! Put your thumb at Ten oclock right in the stance, and concentrate really hard at freezing your hand in this position all through the approach. Think of your hand being vertical, and your thumb pointing at ten oclock throughout your swing.

He's right the hook position usually has the hand ideally at a 45 degree angle to the ball path. This means that the fingers are at 4:30 for the righty and at 7:30 for the lefty instead of at 6:00 clock.

Anywhere from 5:30 for the righty to 4:00 oclock for the righty work pretty well.
In fact Walter Ray and Mika are probably at 5:00 oclock on tour. That seems to work pretty well for them.

For the lefty(I know, who cares) 6:30 to 8:00 works pretty well.

I seem to really enjoy bowling when my hand is at between for a righty would be
4:30 to 4:00 with the fingers.

Your dismay sounds like many who do not have the right pitch for their anatomy.
