I think Columbia's Throttle Up will do the job nicely for you.

Would the v2 clean have enough hook?

Personally i thought the V2 clean was for light-medium lanes. Definately wouldnt be the 1st ball out of the bag for medium lanes

What about the new Morich ball The ravage?

Is the throttle up really condition specific?

To be honest, i havent seen this ball being used but Morich rate it as a medium/dry. So like the V2, i dont think you will get what you want out of it

If you look at the reviews on the ravage It seems to have a decent amount of hook. Not just on this site but check out www.bowlingballreviews.com

Get the Element Au79 from Dyno-thane.  Clears the heads with tons of backend.  And the coverstock is Soaker, so you know it wall last.

It's the ball of the millenium.  V2 Clean isn't enough ball.  The V2 Strong maybe, but not the Clean.

The Element Au79 is going to be the next ball in my bag to deal with the carry down on the lane conditions. So its obvious that i like this ball

I have a v2 strong it hooks but I just can't ever seem to score with it and wanto get rid of it. Has anyone here bowled with both the Throttle Up and the Element Au79? And I do need help finding a ball for heavier oil if any of you have any suggestions.

Heavy oil is with a doubt the Brunswick Ultimate Inferno.

Price has nothing to do with the amount of hook.  The Dyno-thane Soaker coverstock is one of the most durable on the market.  It will last longer than most others and as such is worth more.

If you want to compare prices, I'll take the Dyno-thane Vendetta Black over the V2 Clean, any day.  These newer generation V2's are hardly what created the V2 craze in the first place.  Their cores look nothing like the original V2, which was nothing more than the Nitro R/2 re-introduced (which was  a great ball too).

I've given up on giving him brand names but it seems you have stock in Dyno-thane and need to raise profits.

hehe... I have a contract with Dyno-thane which requires me to throw their bowling balls... not sell them.

I have the advantage of throwing all of their equipment and several of each ball.  I do not hesitate to say that I can make quality recommendations, because I have experience with several layouts with the same ball and bowl on house and sport conditions.

Some people have a ball they think is the greatest ball ever made.  Of course they may never bowl outside a wall shot and it just so happens that the ball layout matched up for them.  Similarly, some people may HATE a ball, but the ball was never meant to be used on that condition with that layout for that type of bowler.

On two different occasions I offered to give a bowler a free Dyno-thane ball, layed out by the company owner to their specs, to prove that we could outperform their favorite ball from their favorite ball company.  Both bowlers refused the offer.

(this offer is no longer available so please don't PM me asking for a free ball)

There are lots of good balls out there. Just don't be afraid to step outside of your favorite ball company.
