Of the sub-500 club.  I put together a stunning 146-180-170 for an impressive 496.

I left my equipment in the car as punishment for their lack of cooperation.

i sadly shot a solid 465 last night (155, 134, 176).  The worst part is that a guy more than triple my age was able to take those bone dry lanes and shoot 687.  i had to throw my yankee doodle plastic right up 4 WRW style they were so bad.

Man, there was this guy tonight, talk about a story.  In youth leagues, he was one of the top dogs, shot 825 one year.  NOTHING about his game has changed since then.  He shot 452.  One of those straight players that really isn't affected by lane conditions.  I don't know how he ever shot 800, it's beyond me.

I guess I don't feel as bad knowing that other people on the board can hit the occasional sub-500 series like I did this week (493). It's my first series below 540 all year (usually around 600-630).

There's always next week though to erase the memories of a sub 500 series.

Thanks.  I knew you guys would come forward and let me know I'm not the only one.  You all are the greatest *sniff*.

WSUStroker, my problem was the opposite.  I think the stripper pad on the lane machine somehow stopped working because there was oil all the way to the backstops.  Guy on the pair next to me who shot 300 in game 1 last week took 13 frames to get his first strike, which is exactly what I did.  I didn't double until the 10th frame of the 2nd game.  I collected a total of 4 strikes in that game and 4 more in the 3rd game.

Where ever my strike game went, my spare game went along, because I whiffed a few easy ones tonight.  Now I've got to try to sleep with this heroic effort in my head.

Not that I am a stranger to the Sub500 Club, but in my Monday league I became a member.  I hadn't shot under 540 so far this season and had 6 or 7 600 series so far and a 197 average on the sheet.  I shot 172-152-147 a 471  I sure hope it is the only sub 500 for the season.

I haven't shot under 500 this year, and I don't suppose I will now unless something goes drastically wrong, but as terribly as I was bowling to begin the season, I can't see how I avoided it.  513 has been my worst so far, and I was worried going into the last game that I wouldn't make it.

lowest series to date before that was 536.

then I go 166, 161, 161. for a freaking 488 and an immediate
3 pin drop in the average. 193 to 190 in one set.
then I come back and shoot 618.

To make you feel worse.
Theres a elderly gent in our alley 71-72 years young.
He shot 951 for 4 games for the highest series for 2 seasons.
He must have got a little tired in the last as that was only a 201.
Thats 750 for 3 now thats not been beaten in a long time at our lanes.
I dont think it was beaten when we had the only 300 ever in our lanes last season.
Wait till Bones sees this, it proves that you improve with age

Pin-nut, if it makes you feel better (lol) I've had two sub-500s this year on the league where I'm secretary (surprise!)

The first night of league -- I always promise myself I won't bowl and just deal with paperwork, but I'm excited to start the season.

143-163-135 / 441.

Six weeks later, we're having rounds and rounds of captain's meetings to try to fill the bye spot on the league.  The ladies won't up the ceiling to allow for a team to join, which turned out to be a real headache and I posted about that in another thread.

149-147-183 / 479.

Last night I had a good scare but pulled 500 out of the magic hat:  147-182-189 / 518.  I got style points for picking up the 4-7-9 in the first game

I just love bowling...

You guys all suck!  I am the man this week with 504! LOL.  Unfortunately, I joined the sub 500 club earlier this year.

My spare game fell apart last night.  Missed everything... 4 pin (x2) 7 pin (x2) 10 pin (x2) 3-6-10 (x2) 3-10, picked the 6-10, and missed a 2-5 (and I think there were a couple others). Granted, my first ball wasn't great, but I was leaving makeable spares.  Should have been able to grind out a 560-570... Oh well, at least my team picked up my slack and got us 6 of 8 points.
