Second try
« on: August 01, 2004, 10:23:24 AM »
Last attempt at the thread I hoped to start went different than expected.
Thanks for each good answer in the other thread, seems it drifted off my intention.

My intent was what you'd reccommend for younger bowlers, just learning.

Sort of like a little outline based on what other's have been through.

When my son was 14, our exterminator was a pro bowler. When he saw the trophy's he gave me his bowling card. I asked what kind of bowl he'd suggest back then for him. He said Gyro Eurothane, (SP wrong). Got him that ball and bang, ave. went up quick.

Guess that guy was THE PERFECT EXAMPLE OF HAVING ANOTHER INCOME!!

It's been so long since my son and daughter began.

One thing, when they were young we coached them. once in Junior leagues in the Jr. age group, we kind of back off the coaching and left the Junior coaches do it. Seemed they paid more attention to others than us. I kind of regret doing that now.

I know many things that jumped their ave up but can't remember what stuff they learned first!!!

The person with the 9 year old relative may like that kind of thread plus the younger ones.

I wish I knew as much about bowling as my son.
He's not a bragger but mom sure loves to share his good times!
