kidjete, i have a suggestion that you might try . . .
at address, instead of holding the ball over your hand (your hand is at 6 o'clock), put your hand at 3 o'clock (if you're right handed), and support the ball more with your left hand. cup your wrist slightly. this takes alot of pressure off your right arm and wrist initially.
when you push the ball away, gently roll your wrist so that your hand is at 3 o'clock as the ball is swinging down. it's more of a pushaway, ball swinging down as the hand moves under the ball kind of move . . .
also, don't pull the ball down from the top of your backswing . . . let the ball come down with gravity. you'll be able to control your wrist position, and keep it stronger, for a longer period of time.
just a suggestion. if you have a coach, as them about this move . . . it worked for me while i was learning ball position throughout my swing.
