Poll - Bang For Your Buck
« on: September 18, 2009, 07:48:28 PM »
Just curious what people think.  Who makes the best low and mid priced equipment?  Pick up to 2-3 companies.

low and mid price i'm going to to with:
900 global the link and lunatic (and or maniac) are very good pieces
roto grip mars and nomads very very solid
hammer the rayzr, vibes

i'm a storm person myself but all around i see alot of bowlers trowing these and scoring very very well with them. so my opinion is unbiased

Brunswick- Avalanche series I didnt like my avalanche pearl but I know of many who loved them and scored big with them....

Hammer- Vibe series again I didnt like my emerald vibe

Columbia- I think they are really moving to lead this field of balls the freeze takes a highend core from the Ti messenger(still a favorite) and puts a new modern cover that really allows this ball to rev up hard and make a very good strong move through the pocket...

Visionary Ogre: most complete and versatile
Brunswick Avalanche: Solid, Pearl & Slide
Hammber Vibe: great selection of lengths and movement

I want to say Roto-Grip Planet line, but since it's not longer a "line" but a single ball, I can't say that.

AMF, for me without question.Great performance, long lasting, easy resale. Like Big B too, on their lower end equipment.Love Lane 1 and Visionary but the price is not in a lot of peoples budget.

Visionary Ogre line.  NO other manufacturer has every area covered from heavy load particle to urethane......from even arc to skip flip.  Entry level price.  It's easily the most versatile line produced.

A.M.F./900G
Hammer/Ebonite

A.M.F. Villain was TOTALLY overlooked. The CLUTCH has rave reviews.

Hard to beat those VIBES. They have basically every look possible except extreme heavy oil.

P.S. The RotoGrip planets were hard to beat as well, if you can get your hands on them.

I agree with Scott. VISIONARY BY FAR with the Ogre line will handle any and every type of condition out there and that line is a mid-priced line.  Plus, there coverstocks last longer than any other line as well as they are not oil soakers.  They do soak a little but not even close to the oil soakers of other companies.  Most underrated ball company out there.

I'm not asking for any mention of balls but since people are doing it, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Noize line from Columbia.

Keep it coming.
