Poll: Cranker, Tweener, Stroker

Based on your observations at your house, for the bowlers who average 210+, what percentage are crankers, tweeners, and stokers?

At my house, I'd say 60% crankers, 30% tweeners, 10% stokers.

Strokers= 50%
Tweeners= 30-35%
Crankers= 15-20%

 Not many real crankers here, and the shot is a wet/dry 41ft shot that is pretty dry outside of 8. Crankers tend to burn up the inside oil early, which shuts the door on them a lot, but opens up the shot some for the others.

70% strokers
25% tweeners
5% crankers

Myself and one other are the only 2 the fit into the "cranker" category.

I would say:
5% or less crankers
15% or less true tweeners
75% strokers

Most people think they are tweeners when they are really strokers.  If you tested most house bowlers (even over 200 average) will have less than 300 rpms, probably around 250 rpm or less.  We have less than a handful of guys with over 400rpms.

In the bowling alley I goto, I think its probably more like 45% strokers, 45% tweeners and 10% crankers..

But alot of the Tweeners here probably think they are "crankers"

I am looking at my league's average sheet as I type this up, so I can do serious number crunching.

Total 210+ average bowlers:  15
Crankers:  1
Tweeners:  6
Strokers:  8

A few of those tweeners I am a bit wary on, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

Neat question!

75% tweeners
23% strokers
2 % straight ballers
0% crankers

The crankers at my house are so lost.  I think it is hillarious.

in my difficult house shot i would say theres only a handful of bowlers averaging over 210...

and about 85 to 90 percent are strokers or tweeners wannabes.

thats what happens when u get light and short oil with inconsistent and no-stripped back ends
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

Out of the 6 guys that average 210+ in our house, 2 are crankers, 3 are tweeners and 1 is a stroker/tweener.

Interesting question. I bowl in 2 different classic leagues in two different houses. Looking at the league sheet for both here's what I came up with:

House 1
Crankers - 30%
Tweeners - 30%
Strokers - 40%

House 2
Crankers - 10%
Tweeners - 40%
Strokers - 50%

In House 2 the shot has been all over the place this year from wet to dry, OB or no OB. It makes sense to me that the straighter players are scoring better. They're getting into less trouble from week to week. I was surprised to see that it wasn't more like 75% strokers in this house.

Take the house shot away and see how many fall below 210 or even far below 200.
