Title: Poll: How would you rate your house?
Post by: 9andaWiggle on May 12, 2004, 05:51:37 AM: How would you rate how the shot in your bowling alley matches up to your game?

A) Too much oil

B) Too little oil

C) Just right

I pick "B" in all 3 that I bowled in last year.

Post by: loose5682 on May 12, 2004, 09:40:27 PM: Hah, at my house, depends on which end you're on...lanes 1 and 2 are ALWAYS flooded and lanes 31 and 32 are usually on the drier side (a little less head oil and almost nothing in the backends). It almost seems as though the shot gets shorter as the lane number goes up, not sure about the volume. Based on that knowledge, I guess I really can't say much about my house...

Although with the summer leagues coming, I am sure the shot will be very inconsistent.

My house is so inconsistent it changes after 3 frames!

But I guess thatâ€™s a good thing, seeing as Iâ€™ve learned when to and when not to adjust

Bowling in the house I sub in: C

Although the last month of league in my main house with my new ball I averaged 220 once I was able to match the right ball with the right conditions...

travel league - 2 a's, 1 b, 2 never knows

Post by: P1atinumGQ on May 13, 2004, 04:26:34 AM: I'd say A for lanes #1-15. For some reason they're flooded all the time. The rest would be around C. Sometimes on second shift leagues it's B. But mostly A and C.

I simply adjust my game, equipment and line to match the condition presented to me. So by and large the amount of oil is OK for my game.

If anything, on rare occasions I will find a condition to dry for my game, ie. canâ€™t get my big butt far enough left.
