Hey Pro Shop Owners,
Just curious. I know many of you are from different parts of the U.S. and some of you may be operating outside of the U.S.
Depending on what market/geographic region you are in, would you say $100,000 could be made in a year?
This is in total sales, not profit alone.
What about $200K, 300K, 400K, so on.
I am just curious. I am not asking you to tell the whole world how much you make, but would like to know where you are located and how close a shop might be to those type of numbers. Is your neighboring competition doing any better/worse?
I could understand huge bowling regions like the Detroit area, Vegas, etc. (fill in your region here), but with internet ball sales (& other factors) it could be tough.
Please chime in, would love to hear your thoughts!
Regards,
Ram

$100K easy in So Cal.
$200K is a little work, but obtainable if you're open enough hours and keep good inventory.

Hey Nick,
Thanks for your input bud. I know you're in Los Angeles County, so I'm sure business should be good with the # of bowling alleys that are out there.
So in So Cal, you think $200K, would be pushing it eh?
I always wondered how much the shops made up here in Northern Calif.

The pro shop operator who drills my equipment says he does over 400k this past year,R & J bowling supplies in the San Francisco - San Mateo area. His prices are the best in the area from what I've seen.

I think I'm going to do a google search to see what are the biggest bowling towns/counties/states in the U.S.
This past February I passed by K&K Bowling Supplies in Las Vegas. They seem to own a big percentage of the Vegas bowling market even with all the Pro Shop competition in the local alleys in the city of sin.
Thanks,
Ram

I'm sure there are a few shops that do 200K+, but I'm certain most fall in the range of <125K.

I'd be willing to bet the pro shop in Edmond OK does way over $200,000 a year and quite possibly over $300,000 a year. That shop has customers in there from start time to quit time, 6 days a week, 52 weeks a year. There is no slack season in that shop as they are as busy during the summer season as they are the winter season.
