Yes this is true i was told by the ex Columbia rep that the ball bleeds plasticizers at around 95 degrees. So the cover is very brittle if in the wrong climate, that is why the cracking issues happened so much.

Stick your hand on the ball hold it and watch it change colors it will, too much come out and poof ball cracks in half.

Mine went from hooking off the lane to oil-soaked and skiddy in about 30-40 games. Biggest waste of money ever.

My vote: EPX-Ti, followed by the Granite Gargoyle and one of the AMB balls whose name just slipped my mind.

Their highest particle load ball ever (I think). The ball was a sponge. I used to have one and it needed LOTS of oil or it hit like a marshmallow.

Seconds on the EPX and La Nina (just ask Tyler Jensen how many 800s that ball's cost people ha!) also I'd throw the Ebonite Tombstone in there too.
