When you say 'Heavier than advertised' I'm curious as to what the original post said. Since you posted the ball is 15lb 8oz after drilling we can assume it was close to 15lb 11oz pre-drilled, correct? If the ball was advertised as a 15lb ball, technically the seller was correct. I don't know how the majority feels about the subject, or where the 'cut-off' is for 15/16lb measurements, but I was under the impression, anything less than 16oz, has to be considered a 15lb ball, even if it's a 15lb 15oz New in box. Now unless the seller had the pro-shop weigh the ball before selling it to you, he probably never knew. He bought it rightfully labeled as a 15lb ball, and sold it under that same knowledge.
So while i understand that you are disappointed the ball is a bit heavier than you wanted, I don't think the seller/trader was in the wrong.
Do any pro-shop guys know the technicality on ball weights when they run in the 'middle' like this?
