Weirdest Postitive Axis Point

A friend of mine asked me to layout and drill him a Gravity Shift. We went out on the lanes, traced the first oil ring, spun it on a spinner and found out his PAP was 2 1/4 over and 2 up.

This put his PAP about an inch from his ring finger and 1/8 down...

So I went with drilling #2 as per the "key" drilling sheet from Storm. Which, put the pin over his middle finger, OMG it seemed so weird but I drilled it anyway.

On the lanes this ball is strong...clean through the heads and picks up a nice midlane roll and finishes on the backend.

Anyway to get to the question, I want to know if anyone out here has this type of PAP measurements?

If its 4 1/2 over and 3/8 up, how is it around 1" from your thumb hole?

The difference between O'grady, Fagan compared o most people with those axis points is that Most people get thos axis points when they spin the ball more instead of getting more roll. Matt and Mike on the other hand break their wrist back through their armswing and recock thier wrists right before release and then uncock again through thier release. They still have have average to less tilt than most people. They achieve these P.A.P. locations by having their hands farther underneath and more inside than average people. I think axis points like these will become more common in higher skilled players in the next couple years.

My axis is 3-7/8 over with no vertical and my tilt is about 11 degrees.

The key to remember is that it is the amount of tilt(track diameter) that matters for ball reaction not the location of the axis point.

Try this one on for size... 9" over, 2 3/4" up... This guy has absolutely no back swing to speak of and I've seen 60 year old ladies throw it faster.

hell that dont sound weird at all i have a way to drill a ball that will make my pap 2" on 0 up or down haha when i pick up my ball after throwing it i have tracks on both sides of my thumb.
