« on: June 04, 2008, 03:25:33 AM »
Me and a few of the guys at my local center have been gettin together and bowling pot games.  It seems to bring the fun and competitive edge back!!!!Last night we had about 5 guys....We had a doubles pot and a singles pot.  Me and my partner won all doubles and i won three singles...Cashing out for about 70 bucks....WOoo hoo!!!!j/k/ We also have side bets....  ne-way i was just wondering who else out there is in to pot bowling and how you all do it.  We do 5 bucks a game...nothing too steep..just a bunch of us talkin' smack and having a good time...  ANyone know of any tournaments in the NorCal area?

In a league that I used to bowl, we all put money in the pot and whenever you get a strike, you draw a card. You need 5 cards (strikes) to make a hand, and whoever got the best hand wins the pot.

If nobody gets 5 cards (strikes), the pot will roll over to the next game.

Fun game!

We would usually pot bowl after leagues on saturday night.  We would do doubles, and partners would be chosen at random (by drawing cards).  We would do $5 a person, with the high score winning all.  If there were an odd number of people, there would be a blind.  This person would pay $10, but would also be able to double his/her score.  It was more for fun than anything else.

Sounds like fun..especially the card game.. we do something similar to that with our traveling club except you get a card for every mark....I'll have to try that for league....

Last night started my PBA League, and there were some bets going around, and eliminator, but no card game surprisingly.
