Such a thing as TOO many pearl particles in an Arsenal?
« on: September 10, 2007, 02:35:36 AM »
I was looking at my arsenal, and I was thinking I sure have alot of particle-pearls in it. I have a RSP,Mystic and venus and I was wondering if there is such a thing as too many of one type of ball(reactive, pearl, etc) in an arsenal. What do you guys think of particle-pearls in general? Any opinions on this?

I do not think you can ever have too much of a good thing, I have 2 RSP's and a Mystic myself....

Particle pearls, like solid reactives, are very versatile and can be used on a lot of different conditions.  Pearl reactives don't necessarily have the bite to handle heavier volumes of oil like a solid can and solid particles usually require a minimum amount of oil to prevent burning up.

Particle pearls and solid reactives live in the middle ground and let you cover a wide variety of conditions easily.  I don't think there's anything really wrong with having a bunch of particle pearls in an arsenal though for "true" extreme conditions they may not be the best choices.

I was just wondering about this myself.  If one is using a particle pearl as their only ball, should they also have a solid or could they just get a different particle-pearl?

Thanks for all the great replies. I was thinking the same thing, and with my game they just seem to match up well. I have heard some negative comments about them and I was just wondering what you guys thought.
Thanks for the help

I think you could take two particle pearls with the right surface and cover heavy down to medium light. I've been able to do this with my razor blade.

I think one of the things I like about the pearl particles is that they don't react off the dry as hard as shined up reactive solids or pearls.
