I would say try Cat Liter first to get the oil out the ball and then get a surface job... 

 

Cheap but will work...

I've tried all the usual "tricks" on my own gear before.. now I just get a new ball lol

I've had ok success with it.  But it won't work on some coverstocks though.

Is there a type of cover it works particularly good on?  Solids, pearls, particle etc?

I found that you need to keep the ball in the canister for 72 hours and not 24.  I still prefer my rejuvnator.
